Disney fans can start planning their next adventure soon as Disney Adventure, the first Disney Cruise Line ship to homeport in Asia, will set sail in Singapore in 2025. The cruise is all set to offer immersive experiences celebrating the Disney, Pixar, and Marvel worlds. Here’s what you need to know about the newly revealed holiday ship.
Previously unnamed during the initial announcement of Asia’s first Disney Cruise Line ship, a press conference held earlier today (26 June 2024) revealed the vessel to be Disney Adventure.
Scheduled to set sail in 2025, Disney Adventure will embark on three- and four-night voyages for both families and adult fans to experience magical days at sea.
The 208,000-gross-ton Disney Adventure is estimated to have approximately 6,700 passenger capacity with around 2,500 crew members.
The Disney Adventure will be both a journey and a destination. Bringing the core pillars – imagination, discovery, fantasy, and adventure – of Disney storytelling to life, the voyage will keep guests engaged with endless entertainment options like signature events, first-run films, karaoke and game shows.
Disney Adventure offers indoor and outdoor fun for all ages, from kids to adults. Young voyagers will find joy in dedicated spaces and clubs for kids, tweens and teens, while adults relax and unwind with premium dining choices, lounge and spa experiences.
Onboard are seven uniquely themed areas filled with favourite Disney characters and awe-inspiring environments under imagination (Disney Imagination Garden), discovery (Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street and Wayfinder Bay), fantasy (Town Square), and adventure (Marvel Landing and Toy Story Place).
Tapping on imagination, Disney Imagination Garden emerges as the emotional heart of the Disney Adventure, an enchanted valley, charming garden and open-air performance venue all in one.
Inspired by 100 years of iconic Disney adventures — from Moana on the high seas to Mowgli in the jungle — this imaginative gathering space will be a gateway with an enchanting touch.
At Disney Discovery Reef, families can shop and dine in a celestial-like retreat featuring favourite aquatic characters and nautical stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, including “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo” and “Luca.”
The “Big Hero 6” world goes from reel to real in Disney Adventure. This zone will be a family entertainment area featuring a vibrant street market filled with interactive games, activities, shops, cinemas and more.
Overlooking the horizon “line where the sky meets the sea”, this open-air oasis under the sun allows guests to unwind with casual entertainment options. The spacious retreat will reflect the Pacific Islands-inspired artistry of Disney Animation’s “Moana,” offering some of the most stunning views of the sea and sky aboard the Disney Adventure.
Disney royals gather at the Town Square, which invites guests to fulfil their dreams. The magical forest-themed area will be filled with shops, lounges, cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues. Expect enchanting moments with nods to “Tangled,” “Cinderella,” “Frozen,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “The Princess and the Frog,” and more.
Heroes, assemble at the epic Marvel Landing. This area will feature Avengers-level adventure, with all-new attractions and experiences that showcase imaginative representations of guests’ favourite superheroes.
Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and friends will keep guests company at the animated interactive playland of Toy Story Place. From themed food venues like Pizza Planet and water play areas, the world of Pixar’s “Toy Story” movies and shorts comes alive in surprising and inventive ways.
