The Thailand International Boat Show Is Considering Expansion in 2025

The Thailand International Boat Show, a highly anticipated lifestyle event for yachting enthusiasts worldwide, has confirmed its 2025 dates and updated location in Phuket.
Yacht enthusiasts can mark their calendars for January 9–12, 2025, as the Thailand International Boat Show is set to take place at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina. Located near Phuket International Airport on the northern part of the island, Phuket’s largest marina with 332 berths can accommodate yachts of sizes greater than 100 metres, making it the ideal locale for the upscale lifestyle event.
Of the new location for the prestigious boat show, David Hayes, CEO of the organising company, JAND Events, says, “As we look to expand the Thailand International Boat Show in 2025 and beyond, the move to Phuket Yacht Haven is a strategic one. It gives us more space and the capacity to grow in the water and onshore. Feedback from many global brands is that they see the show as one of the most important boat shows in this part of the world and the new venue will allow us to grow in stature regionally and internationally. Also, being closer to the airport and many five-star resorts makes the show even more convenient for off-island visitors.”
Previously held at the Royal Phuket Marina earlier this year, the Thailand International Boat Show is expecting to see more than 100 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors next January. The event targets those with an interest in the boating lifestyle, especially affluent jet-setters from overseas who are also especially keen on visiting Phuket, Thailand’s Pearl of the Andaman and upcoming strategic hub.
As for the vessels themselves, an exciting variety will be on display, from dinghies and day trippers to superyachts. With the success of the 2024 event, many exhibitors have already secured their spot for next year, including Simpson Marine, which will be showcasing yachts from Sanlorenzo, Fairline, and BluYachts, and The Yacht Sales Co., which promises to bring models from Fountaine Pajot, Monte Carlo Yachts, and Dufour to the boating spectacular. Other confirmed participants include Sunseeker, Lee Marine, Northrop & Johnson, Derani Yachts, Asia Marine, Go Boating, Asia Yachting, Extreme Marine, Sea Yacht Sales, and Motor Field.
On top of that, a number of onshore exhibitors have also locked their spots for next year, such as AMI Marine International, Hull, Octopus Electrical Service, Seabob, Siam Legal, SITICO and The ASA Group. Cessna & Beechcraft by Textron Aviation is set to return as the event’s VIP Lounge Presenting Sponsor.
“With an option for a long-term agreement with the venue, we aim to future-proof the show and provide certainty for the yachting industry,” shares David. “We are working closely with the team at Phuket Yacht Haven to build on this year’s success and put on an even bigger and better show in 2025, while attracting more quality visitors and spotlighting Phuket as a tour de force in the yachting industry.”
The Thailand International Boat Show will take place on January 9–12, 2025, following the annual Thailand Yachting Conference and gala dinner and awards ceremony on the evening before. For more information, visit thailandinternationalboatshow.com.
