With multiple hit movies in the past few years, from Netflix’s Set It Up and his recent romantic comedy with Sydney Sweeney Anyone But You, Glen Powell has hit new career highs — and he’s far from finished.
While he has been in the industry for a significant amount of time, the Texas-born actor had his breakout moment in Netflix’s romantic comedy Set It Up in 2018, starring alongside Zoey Deutsch of Zombieland fame and the inimitable Lucy Liu. The success of the romantic comedy was later replicated with Anyone But You in December of 2023, where he starred alongside Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney. He later starred in Netflix’s Richard Linklater-directorial Hit Man, released in May 2024. A few months later, Powell returned to the big screen with Twisters.
And that’s not to forget his chiselled beach body as Jake “Hangman” Seresin from 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, which fans have not gotten over just yet. Powell is clearly having a moment, and with his stunning good looks and banger wardrobe, it’s nearly impossible to not take notice.
Yes, we are living for the range of outfits that Glen Powell has been whipping out for his various outings.
From strikingly bright Brioni suits to Ralph Lauren’s subtle pinstripes, Tom Ford suede trucker jackets to old vintage Levi’s jeans, Powell has given us one too many fashion moments this season to not dub him the new style icon in Hollywood.
And he has been upping the style ante in a rather non-outlandish way. Glen Powell’s fashion is practical and poised.
Leveraging the practicality of his style, Glen Powell slipped into a rugged, casual outfit for a recent appearance on ABC’s talk show The View — an easy-to-emulate style that fans can style themselves at home. Up top, he wore a white vest and layered it with a forest green shirt. For bottoms, he jumped into some dark blue denim jeans and a pair of brown leather Chelsea boots.
It’s a classic ’90s hero fit and something built from absolutely mainstream pieces.
For another promotional outing, he perfected another straightforward look where he replaced the green shirt with a light blue linen number. A dainty golden locket accentuated the fit of the ribbed vest and worked just fine with the scoop neck.
While we already mentioned the classic suits he pulls off often, we can’t help but give a shout-out to this one particular Gucci moment he pulled off for the Twisters promotions in London. The fit, the silhouette, the deep brown colour and the white piping detailing on the trousers and the jacket – it’s all screaming luxury meets fun.

However, this is not Powell’s doing alone. Powell’s stylist Warren Alfie Baker deserves equal credit for helping the actor to shine, while helping him to retain his individual style.
Most notably, Alfie Baker is also the stylist for Andrew Scott, Andrew Garfield and Matt Bomer. Take that into consideration, and Glen Powell’s style evolution suddenly makes so much more sense.
Moving on to the accessories that interest Powell, the Hit Man star seems to have developed a love affair with Ray-Ban aviators and wayfarers, a stylistic choice that has become evident in many of his recent outings. While the style of these sunglasses is the perfect choice for his heart-shaped face, he also knows how to break his tall frame with the power of a nice belt.
Yes, Powell has been leaning a lot towards belt buckles, big and sleek, to break his outfit and accentuate his tall frame.
Even at the 2024 SAG Awards in February, the cummerbund that Powell wore scored a major win and worked fabulously with his Brioni suit.

A loyalist of the Italian luxury menswear fashion house Brioni, Powell has sported many fine outfits from the label for his red-carpet outings.
A fashion moment that we loved is this white Italian big-lapelled suit that he wore to the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, which he styled with a black velvet bowtie. It’s crisp. It’s classy. It’s giving old money.
And then there was another Brioni look where he layered a white tank top underneath his blue double-breasted suit jacket at the Anyone But You premiere in December 2023. A total serve!
To mark the momentous occasion of being inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame by the Austin Film Society earlier this year in May, Powell showed up looking rather sharp in full Versace look with the Medusa head vintage bolo Tie being the hero of his outfit. A fit that’s too true to Powell’s own style – sophisticated with a dash of risk.

At the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Powell, who usually gravitates towards Oxford shirts for a formal night, wore a V-neck top to bring in a casual touch to his light-grey suit. Perhaps that event marked the early days of his experimentation with style and clearly, he has not looked back.
