Crash Landing On You fame Hyun Bin is set to return to the small screen with the upcoming K-drama, Made in Korea alongside popular actor Jung Woo-sung. Here’s everything to know about the plot, cast and other details about the series.
Helmed by Harbin director Woo Min-ho, the K-drama Made in Korea will delve into the turbulent times in 1970s Korea and explore themes of survival and hope.
With Hyun Bin making a small-screen comeback after a five-year hiatus, Made in Korea is already grabbing headlines as one of the highly anticipated K-drama shows releasing in 2025. The Disney+ original is penned by scriptwriters Park Eun-kyo and Park Joo-suk, known for the hit shows Mother (2009) and Train to Busan (2016), respectively.
Deemed as a “riveting crime thriller Korean drama” by Disney+, Made in Korea tells the story of Baek Ki-tae, a man consumed with a desire for wealth and power in 1970s Korea. Making things difficult for him is Jang Geon-young, a stalwart prosecutor determined to stop Ki-tae at any cost.
According to the OTT, the duo will eventually “find themselves involved in an era-defining incident that will forever change their futures.”
Two of Korea’s biggest stars — Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung will go head-to-head in a dramatic on-screen showdown as Ki-tae and Geon-young, respectively, in Made in Korea. While Hyun Bin is popular for hit titles like Confidential Assignment (2017), Jung has been part of some of the highest-grossing Korean movies like Hunt (2022) and 12.12: The Day (2023).
Other notable cast members include Seo Eun-soo, Jung Sung-il and Won Ji-an.
While Disney+ has not revealed the exact release date, the Korean drama is under production and set to hit your screens in 2025.
As of writing, the makers haven’t released an official trailer for the show.
