Are You Sure?!, the vacation variety show starring Jungkook and Jimin, recently debuted onDisney+ Hotstar and has already garnered significant attention from viewers who are enamoured with the first two episodes. The first several episodes have left ARMY wanting more, from Jungkook flaunting his Harley Davidson and discovering wild mushrooms on their walk to Jimin being a skilled kayaker and the two of them always arguing. So let’s revisit some of our fave Jimin and Jungkook moments from Are You Sure?! episodes 1 and 2 as we wait for more adventures from the BTS combo.
The Korean reality series solely focuses on Jimin and Jungkook’s travel adventures across New York, Sapporo in Japan and Jeju Island in South Korea, before their mandatory military service enlistment. According to HYBE’s web platform Weverse, the two BTS members embarked on this journey “without any plans, simply relishing the joy of travelling together.”

In episode one of Are You Sure?! viewers see Jungkook and Jimin going on a kayaking expedition in the USA. When the duo reaches the spot, trainer Gino gives them lessons on how to use a kayak. While Jungkook, who is popular for being good at every sport, fails initially, Jimin shines at kayaking. He gets a hang of the paddle sport from the get-go and later shows off his well-balanced strokes.

After kayaking, Jimin and Jungkook decide to spend the night enjoying barbeque, ramen and beer. During their meal, Jungkook FaceTimes his BTS bandmate Taehyung, aka V, to let him know about the ongoing trip. However, when Jungkook informs V that they also enjoyed a ride on the former’s Harley Davidson, V starts questioning how he was allowed to ride his Harley while on the trip. Jungkook replies with a cheeky “okay” and hangs up on V mid-conversation. Following this, Jungkook receives a text full of expletives from V and bursts out laughing. He later makes it up to V by texting back multiple “I love Yous” and “You are the bests”.

In episode two, the BTS duo is spotted by an ARMY on their visit to Walmart. Jungkook and Jimin get a frozen pizza but seem shy about conversing in English with the staff to ask them to heat it. A BTS ARMY from the staff then notices the duo and helps them out with the pizza. When they finally dig into the slices, Jimin adorably comments that the pizza tastes extra delicious because an ARMY prepared it.

After Jimin gets a stomach bug at the end of episode one, he continues to feel sick and tired in episode two. Fans later see the BTS singer sleep it off on a yacht. Yes, you heard it! Jimin and Jungkook decide to enjoy the California sunset from a yacht, eating good food. However, Jimin, instead of enjoying the view, prefers to get his beauty sleep that he missed the other night because of the stomach bug.
Episode two of Are You Sure?! also gave better glimpses into the artistic side of BTS band members Jungkook and Jimin. While coming back to their stay for the night after the yacht trip, Jimin and Jungkook indulge in a deep conversation about music in their car. Jimin explains that it might be more efficient to receive songs written by someone else than to write his own songs because the former takes a lot of time. He adds that while he worked on his debut album FACE for one whole year, without any breaks, he still had no time to do any extra activities and ended up doing the same things as his other bandmates who used songs written by others.
Jungkook, on the other hand, says that, while it is important for him to write and tell his own story, he currently wants to explore pre-written songs and see how far he can go in terms of versatility. He also adds that there’s not much to write about in his life because he is someone who doesn’t go about his life with lots of thoughts.
