A quick glimpse of the forceful Mazda CX-60

The Mazda CX-60, the new flagship model in Mazda’s dynamic lineup, projects an elegant blend of luxury, performance, and arresting design aesthetics.
The Mazda CX-60 is more than just a mode of transport but an extension of a refined lifestyle. The SUV boasts premium design and advanced technology and offers a superior driving experience, thereby highlighting Mazda’s commitment to creating cars that profoundly connect with their drivers.
In creating the CX-60, Mazda takes the Japanese ethos of striving for perfection in every undertaking to heart. Master craftsmen, known as Takumi, apply precision and excellence in finishing every detail. In embodying the “Noble Toughness” design philosophy, the CX-60 delivers the elegance and ruggedness expected of a premium SUV.
Furthermore, Mazda’s Kodo design philosophy governs the aesthetic elements of the CX-60 by integrating several traditional Japanese principles. Negative space, known as Ma, creates a serene and spacious interior, while traditional Japanese curves, or Sori, enhance balance and elegance. The play of light and shadow, termed Utsuroi, brings the design to life, and the beauty of empty space, Yohaku, imparts a clean and expansive feel.
Moving inside, the CX-60’s interior design is guided by four Japanese design pillars that ensure every element contributes to a luxurious and comfortable driving environment. Proportional harmony, or Hacho, paves the way for Kaicho, or the integration of premium materials, including Nappa leather, various woven textiles, and maple wood, to create a refined atmosphere. Kansei emphasizes emotional connection and ergonomic comfort, providing intuitive control for an effortless driving experience, while traditional Japanese stitching techniques inspired by traditional Musubu aka the precision art of knot tying, adds an elegant touch.
At the core of the CX-60 is Mazda’s Jinba-Ittai philosophy, which emphasizes the unity between car and driver. Mazda’s designers and engineers meticulously crafted this harmony to create a seamless connection, ensuring optimal safety and comfort.
The CX-60 RADAR exemplifies this philosophy through the use of the “large vehicle platform” architecture, cutting-edge electrification technology, impressive towing capacity, i-ACTIV AWD and Mi-DRIVE for maximum performance in all road conditions, and other advanced features. The CX-60 is powered by a robust e-SKYACTIV G 3.3-litre turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine with M Hybrid Boost technology. It delivers 280 hp of power and 450 Nm of torque while maintaining optimal fuel efficiency.
Other technological advancements featured in the model include a Driver Personalization System that automatically adjusts driving position based on driver height data and the Mazda intelligent Drive Select (Mi-DRIVE) that tailors driving modes to road conditions. A suite of safety measures is also part of the package, including the proactive i-ACTIVSENSE system.
The CX-60 was initially available in two editions: Kuro and Elite. The Kuro edition is designed for those looking for a sporty look, while the Elite edition caters to those who prefer an elegant appearance. Each edition is tailored to meet the diverse tastes and preferences of the brand’s devotees, ensuring a perfect match for every driver.
