From Bali to the World: Syrco BASÈ team shines on the international stage

As rising stars in Indonesia’s culinary industry, the Syrco BASÈ team has quickly acquired reputation abroad by participating in prestigious events.
Syrco BASÈ has made a huge splash in the Indonesian dining scene after making an excellent debut earlier this year. Situated to the north of Ubud, the restaurant’s ongoing prosperity is underscored by the global recognition that many members of its teams have received.
Under the tutelage of two Michelin-starred Chef Syrco, the restaurant’s team has demonstrated its commitment to quality and has been recognised as leaders in their industries worldwide. One of the noteworthy accomplishments was Bar Manager Aris Sanjaya’s victory on July 15, 2024, at the renowned Diageo WORLD CLASS Indonesia 2024. At the upcoming Diageo WORLD CLASS Global Final in Shanghai, held from September 10 to 15, 2024, Aris will compete against the best bartenders from 60 nations representing Syrco BASÈ and Indonesia.
Another notable achievement was made by barman Wisnu Arcana, who recently won the Giffard West Cup Indonesia 2024 and the Asia Pacific Grand Final. On September 18 to 20, 2024, in Angers, France, Wisnu will compete in the Global Finals, where he will demonstrate his creative mixology abilities. In the meantime, Arya Dharmayasa, the assistant bar manager, and Zieshen Giovanni, the barman, are making progress in The Campari Red Hands Asia 2024 tournament. They are excitedly gearing up for Round 2, slated for October 2024, having successfully completed Round 1 on August 5, 2024.
Meanwhile, Head of Culinary Services Stefan de Graaf is in the kitchen, gearing up for the September 2024-January 2025 regional finals of the San Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition. His objective is to compete in the grand final in November 2025 in Alma, Italy.
