This one-Michelin starred restaurant is an import all the way from Ginza, Tokyo. Ginza Sushi Ichi is situated in the Grand Hyatt Erawan boasting Japanese-style interiors and a quiet ambiance awaits its guests. In order to serve sushi at optimal quality, ingredients are imported daily from several Tokyo markets for executive head chef Masakazu Ishibashi an exquisite dining experience.

Sushi Masato is the second official restaurant by Chef Masato Shimizu, following his one Michelin-starred 15 East Restaurant in New York. At Raw Bar Masato, fresh produce like sea urchin, Japanese oysters, and wagyu beef are delivered from Toyosu market in Tokyo to be served to customers. Like Masato’s former brainchild, Sushi Masato also received one Michelin star in 2021.

MASA is an 80-year-old sushi restaurant in Otaru city, Japan. Here at the ICONSIAM branch, their 80 years of experience are transferred into the Omakase, Mini Omakase, and Premium Omakase menu. All three are prepared in ‘Ezo Mae’ style, which aims to preserve the original flavours of each ingredient through simple preparation and seasoning. A central highlight and favourite is the Ika Somen dish, consisting of somen noodles made of thinly sliced squid, accompanied with uni and nori.

Kensho Omakase has been gaining recognition among young foodies for quite a while, and one of the main attractions is the tableware from Louis Vuitton. From the monogram coasters to the plates and glasses, it’s undeniable that these luxury setups really make your sushi shine even more. Sushi Zo, established by Los Angeles sushi Chef Keizo Seki, opened its first international branch in Bangkok in 2017, led by Chef Toshi Onishi. The restaurant features seasonal ingredients carefully selected by the chef. Each dish is minimally prepared to highlight the natural flavours, such as the nodoguro (Blackthroat Seaperch) with lightly charred skin. Sushi Zo is known for the restaurant’s attention to detail, using rice made with imported Japanese deep-well water and serving seasonal fish sourced 48 hours in advance.

Sushi Kuuya, created by Chef Goji Kobayashi, is located in Langsuan’s Vivre Building. With experience from Michelin-starred restaurants in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Chef Kobayashi brings his expertise in preservation techniques, learned from his time as a fishmonger in Shizuoka, Japan. Featuring dishes like salt-water eel, which is simmered for 60 minutes before being grilled to perfect and a custom-made stove to control the temperature and consistency of rice.
Sushi Kuuya offers an 16- 18 course omakase experience priced at THB 6,500 and a lunch course, priced at THB 3,900, available only at the weekend.
