Cynosure and AESLA Honour Clinical Professor Emeritus Dr. Niwat Polnikorn as ‘Cynosure Research and Training Partner’

Cynosure, a pioneer in laser innovation for over three decades, has partnered with AESLA in Thailand to honour Clinical Professor Emeritus Dr. Niwat Polnikorn as the ‘Cynosure Research and Training Partner.’ Recognised as a leading specialist in laser dermatology across the Asia-Pacific region, Prof. Niwat has gained international acclaim for his contributions to the field.
Prof. Niwat’s work includes organising training and researching the Picosecond Laser 755nm, with a particular focus on Cynosure’s PicoSure and PicoSure Pro. For nearly a decade, he has been instrumental in sharing knowledge and inspiring new practitioners in the laser industry.
Cynosure and AESLA also extended their congratulations to Prof. Niwat on the inauguration of his new Dr. Niwat Skin and Laser Center. Officially opened this year, the center serves as an integrated learning hub for doctors around the world.
The inaugural ceremony took place on August 19, 2024, in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, coinciding with ‘Picosure Pro Focus 2024’ workshop. The workshop featured a select group of dermatologists known as the ‘Pioneers of PicoSure Pro in Thailand,’ who focused on the latest trends and effective applications of PicoSure Pro technology.
The event was attended by over 40 guests, including Bebe Teo, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific & Commercial Excellence (Cynosure), and Saowani Pankajornwet, Commercial Lead, Indochina, and Strategic Partnership Lead, Southeast Asia (Cynosure). Other attendees included Woratham Suttinan, Pakorn Methadharatip, Juriporn Saenmuang, and Søren Maor Sinay.

Prof. Niwat concluded by expressing his gratitude for the recognition and sharing his future aspirations: “With determination, knowledge, and support, we can create value anywhere. I began using lasers in Thailand to address various issues and witnessed their transformative impact on lives. Beyond treating patients, my new goal is to share this knowledge for broader benefit. With the center now open, I aim to help foster new generations of doctors who will continue to advance patient care and the laser industry.”
Dr. Niwat Skin and Laser Center will serve as a significant hub for patient care, academic seminars, and training for doctors. This new facility aims to enhance learning opportunities and set a high standard for advancing the skin and laser industry in Thailand by utilising cutting-edge technology.
