At only 27, the supermodel has achieved viral star power, made her name as a living fashion icon and has her business Orebella — launched earlier this year — to boot. In her debut as global ambassador for Chopard, the beauty and elegance of Bella Hadid (as Chopard’s co-president and artistic director, Caroline Scheufele puts it) is fused with the radiance of the Ice Cube jewellery collection.
Chopard’s Ice Cube jewellery pays tribute to minimalism and simplicity. Likewise, Bella Hadid is known for her understated looks — often finished in a classic bun hairstyle. She has always been known to rock the most minimalist looks, which often draws attention to how she plays with her accessories.
For the new campaign with Chopard’s Ice Cube jewellery collection, British photographer and director Charlotte Wales uses light to create a mesmerising atmosphere while accentuating the pieces’ perfect geometry, under the theme ‘Sculpted by Light’. Revealing the very essence of the Ice Cube jewellery design, this symbiosis of light and jewellery is juxtaposed with the subtleness that Bella Hadid naturally evokes — especially in an abstract urban scene set against the backdrop of a night skyline.
The collection’s central motif is that the cube embodies an idea of geometric perfection and magnifies the light bouncing off its facets. Since it was first introduced back in 1999, the collection has only continued to evolve in a perpetual dialogue with light.
