Azimut Yachts launches the revolutionary Fly 62

The series that has brought Azimut international success gives way to a new model – the Fly 62. More than a step forward, this flagship vessel represents a milestone in the evolution of flybridges.
Looking at the history of motor yachting, it is impossible to think of the modern flybridge without thinking of Azimut. The Italian luxury yacht maker continues its path of innovation by the surprising usage of space with each new model. And, the latest Fly 62, is considered by Azimut to be a milestone in the evolution of the flybridge yacht (a yacht characterised by having an open deck above the main deck – called a fly), particularly for one standout feature – the unprecedented stern-facing “Beach Cockpit.”
The Fly 62, launched at Azimut’s Avigliana production facility on July 29, represents the purest concept of design know-how with a desire to stay close to the sea, and is built specifically for extended time onboard. This reinvention of the cockpit, the Beach Cockpit, turns it toward the stern and creates a progressive descent towards the sea. The transom opens outwards and, with a synchronous movement, the sofa is lowered. This eliminates all physical barriers and creates a large sunbathing area close to the water.
The exteriors of the yacht are designed by Alberto Mancini. The Fly 62’s new hardtop design by the renowned superyacht designer stands out for its hyper-modern lines, which complement the linearity of the horizontal development of the hull windows.
For the interiors, Azimut has once again collaborated with architect Fabio Fantolino for his second project with the shipyard. Fabio has created “open” spaces free of visual obstacles, for a feeling of unrestricted closeness to the sea, where those onboard can connect and immerse themselves with their surroundings.
The Fly 62 is scheduled for a global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, held from September 10-15.
