On 16 December 2014, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child, a baby girl named James. The unique name was a heartfelt tribute to Reynolds’ late father, James Reynolds, who passed away the same year after their daughter was born. In April 2016, news broke that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were expecting their second child, coinciding with Lively’s filming of The Shallows, where pictures of her baby bump were captured on the set. In September 2016, their second daughter was born. Her name, Inez, was kept under wraps until several months later.
The family made their red carpet debut together in December 2016, when Reynolds received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
