It was the perfect occasion for stars and the world’s best jewellers to showcase pieces inspired by nature, and the world’s best watchmakers to showcase the beauty of time (and timekeeping). Michelle Yeoh has a long-standing friendship with the house of Richard Mille, so it’s no surprise to see her pair her silver Balenciaga gown with a piece from Richard Mille. For the occasion, she chose the RM 07-01 with a green strap that matched the Met Gala’s green carpet prefectly.
Emma Chamberlain’s interpretation of the event’s dress theme (“The Garden of Time”) headed in the goth direction with custom Jean Paul Gaultier, a look that was elevated with the Renda diamond earrings and necklace from Cartier‘s upcoming High Jewellery Nature Savage collection.
