Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau houses three stunning hotel towers. Design is inspired by the monumental European buildings of the Neoclassical to Belle Époque periods and traditional Chinese motifs, a celebration between the grand union of the East and the West.
For those who are looking for extraordinary service, stay a night at Grand Lisboa Palace Macau which some of its services was awarded Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star. Each exquisite room is decorated by bespoke art pieces created by famous local artists and a gorgeous view of either the Cotai or the Jardim Secreto gardens.
Before getting to your room, check out their lobby. A walk around the resort is like going to an art museum as Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau has one of the largest collections of local artworks in Macau. There’s also a free shuttle bus service that takes guests to certain areas around the city.
When in Macau, visiting the city’s hallmarks is crucial. One must-stop destination is the Grand Lisboa Macau. Its breathtaking architecture is retro, yet futuristic with its distinctive lotus shape and shimmering façade. However, for those into history, the Ruins of St. Paul’s is also a popular attraction. Besides being a masterpiece of Portuguese Baroque architecture, this beloved destination holds a lot of historical significance. Exploring this area just takes you into a glimpse of the past of Macau’s rich colonial heritage. Now, after immersing yourself in the Ruins of St. Paul’s, why not stop by Travessa da Paixão? Literally meaning “love lane,” this street is only 30 metres long and is known for its romantic atmosphere, making it a popular spot for couples and lovers.
Nestled between the towers of Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, Jardim Secreto is a perfectly manicured greenery. Taking a stroll around here is like transporting yourself to Europe with its romantic patios and gazebos. However, the best spot is in the middle, the ornate dome that illuminates during golden hour, making this the perfect place to take pictures or, possibly, a cute proposal.
After all those activities, it’s important to replenish your body with a good meal. And we’ve got a few restaurants to recommend. First of is The Grand Buffet, an all-day dining under the concept of a reinterpreted Asian marketplace. Serving only the season’s freshest ingredients, this buffet has an extensive lineup of various cuisines like Chinese, Pan-Asian, and of course, Western. There’s even a live fish tank for you to choose what kind of seafood you want cooked.
But if you’re craving Portuguese food, check out Mesa by José Avillez. Meaning “table” in Portuguese, dining here is like eating under the stars with your beloved one. The restaurant offers contemporary cuisine inspired by the country’s tradition of sharing food and drinks. The chef uses a combination of traditional and modern cooking techniques to showcase their exquisite creations. Highlights include suckling pig “sandwich” and creamy codfish with eggs.
For Italian food, Don Alfonso 1890 is a Michelin-starred, family-owned restaurant that pays homage to the culinary heritage and traditions of Italy’s Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. The interior, inspired by the historic Versace Villa on Lake Como, is truly glamourous. But of course, since we are here for the food, (and maybe a tiny bit for a photo-op), Head Chef Federico Pucci sources some of the best produce Italy has to offer. From the San Marzano tomatoes, Nocellara del Belice olives and Namonte lemons, he delivers the taste of Southern Italy right to your table. A truly memorable gastronomic experience that will impress anyone.
Lastly, when in Macau or anywhere else in the world, going on a shopping spree is like a form of relaxation. Yet, you’re still being active by walking around. At this spacious shopping mall, there’s over 170 international brands from beauty and cosmetic, men and ladies fashion, digital electronics to refined home décor, everything you need is here at this one-stop shop. From 19th July to 18th August, you can earn rewards up to MOP6,000 with a minimum spend of MOP3,000 in participating retail stores.
